Joe Siegelman

Joe Siegelman

Joe Siegelman is a trusted advocate for clients navigating the intersection of law, government, and public policy. Drawing on his experience in litigation and government service, Joe helps businesses, nonprofits, and government entities achieve results in complex and high-stakes matters. He specializes in addressing challenges that lack straightforward solutions, delivering practical and proven strategies.

Recognized early in his career as one of the National Trial Lawyers’ Top 40 Under 40, Joe has built a practice that now spans far beyond the courtroom. He has litigated before both the U.S. Supreme Court and the Georgia Supreme Court, where he most recently secured a unanimous victory in 2025. Today, clients turn to him for counsel on regulatory compliance, government contract and procurement matters, campaign finance, ethics, gaming/coin operated amusement machines (COAMs) and public policy—areas where law, politics, and governance converge.

Joe’s perspective is informed by his prior public service as Special Advisor to the City Attorney for the City of Atlanta, where he provided counsel on issues ranging from licensing and permitting to cybersecurity. That hands-on government experience, combined with his litigation background, allows him to offer sophisticated advice to private clients as well as to governmental bodies where he serves as outside counsel.

A summa cum laude graduate of the University of Alabama’s Honors College and Business Honors Program, Joe earned his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law on a full-tuition scholarship, with additional study at the London School of Economics. He is licensed to practice in Georgia, Alabama, California, and the District of Columbia. When away from the office, Joe enjoys chasing after his two young sons, Harald and Louie.

Joe’s practice serves as a bridge between local governments, businesses, elected officials, political organizations and regulatory agencies.  Having roots as both a litigator and city attorney, Joe has a unique ability to see matters from multiple perspectives and also to handle cases from the local or administrative level all the way to the Supreme Court.  Joe enjoys helping his clients navigate what many times is a regulatory maze to reach not just compliance but optimal results.
