Slow Progress at Edgewood’s La France Street Development

Three years after demolition began on a planned 700-home development in Edgewood, much of the 13.3-acre site remains undeveloped. The former Edwards Fine Foods facility was cleared in early 2022, making way for a mixed-use project led by Toll Brothers.

While the 422-unit Hanover Edgewood development has made progress on the western edge of the site, the remainder has seen little visible construction activity. Paved streets and infrastructure work are in place, but no additional residential units have broken ground.

Toll Brothers has not provided an updated timeline for the next phase of development, leaving the status of the project uncertain.
